My beloved friend recently passed away after his hard battle with cancer. He has taught me what it means to be courageous and joyful in the face of great adversity. I am comforted in knowing he is at peaceful rest. As George Eliot said, "Only in the agony of parting do we look into the depths of love."

I had forgotten today's is Father's Day. Shame on me. But it's not too late... the day is just starting. I intend to celebrate this day by revisiting fond memories of my late father and making it extra special for my husband with our son. Here are some great quotes/life lessons by fathers. Enjoy!

"I am a woman, mother, painter, poet and spiritual seeker. I know myself as a participant in the dance of creation. I love the life/death/life process of the existence. I express my talents by nurturing, sharing, listening, collaborating. My aspiration is to live in complete harmony in our surrounding in total acceptance.
My painting and poetry are voice of my soul expressed in colour and words. I paint nature and mandalas. They are abstract and colorful. Mandalas are like labyrinths. There is one path to enter and same path to exit. In lot ways they both are same. Both are connected to our consciousness. Through painting my soul manifest itself in the physical world. With each painting I am born again.
