How we perceive and interpret our life experiences is the key to our happiness.

The area around Maum Meditation Center boasts fresh air, clean water (no conditioner was needed for my hair), and strong energetic vibrations that attract many seekers of spiritual enlightenment. I could hear daily drum beats used in shamanic rituals from my room. Fascinating and beautiful place indeed!
The following photos I took show the entrance way (the words are, "The Doorway to Cleanse the Mind), pine trees and rocks on the premise, the dorm/meditation building I stayed in, and the neighboring homes and farms.

Enlightenment is achieved When one's own consciousness is The same as the already enlightened world That is enlightenment

Maum (The Mind)
He who is trapped within himself Lives with the mind trapped within himself Man lives thinking that his body is his master But the movements and actions of the body
Are done by the mind He who lives with delusions and demons in his mind Thinks and acts according to his delusions Because of human mind, People's thoughts are of a million different sorts Although the same event is observed The mind that arises Is different for everyone
That mind comes from The life one has lived according to his own image That image is his mind To cleanse the mind Is to eliminate the delusional mind Of attachments that constitute who he is

Here is another poem by Woo Myung in his book, "World Beyond World":
Into the clear blue sky I send my heart When I do not exist When I become the universe All in heaven and earth is one Heaven and earth is of one body All of its creations know no death It lives as it is To be as it is It is freedom; it is liberation
